PDF and Export Problems

If clicking the download button doesn’t produce a PDF, read the on-screen message first — a failed download now explains why it failed rather than just stopping. If the message names something specific, such as missing contract details, fix that and try again. Work through the checks below only when there’s no message or the message isn’t specific.

The Download PDF button sits at the top of the project or proposal page, not inside a tab. If you can’t see it, your role doesn’t include permission to manage projects or proposals. Ask your administrator. See I can’t see a feature or button.

Your browser may be blocking the download. Look for a notification in the browser’s address bar or toolbar that says a popup or download was blocked. Allow the download from AECPulse and try again.

  1. Make sure your browser is up to date.
  2. Try a different browser.
  3. Check that your device has enough free storage space to save the file.

Sometimes a temporary network hiccup prevents the download. Wait a moment and try again.

  1. Try downloading it again — the file may have been incomplete.
  2. Open it in a different PDF viewer.
  3. Make sure all required fields (especially in Contract Information) are filled in before generating the PDF.

You must run the report (click the Run or Generate button) before the export option appears.

If the report returned no results, there may be nothing to export. Check your input filters and try again with broader criteria.

Try the same steps as for PDF downloads above (popup blocker, different browser).

Contact your firm’s AECPulse administrator. If it’s a system-wide issue, they can contact AECPulse support.
