Assign Tasks and Set Dependencies
Assigning a task
Section titled “Assigning a task”A task can have any number of assignees.
When you create a task, the Assign Task to Me checkbox is ticked by default, so the task starts out assigned to you and appears in your task list immediately. Untick it to create the task unassigned.
To change assignees afterward:
- Open the task.
- Find the Assigned to field.
- Start typing a team member’s name and pick them from the suggestions to add them, or remove an existing assignee with the x beside their name.
Changes save right away, and each one is recorded on the task’s History tab. Assigned team members see the task in their own task list.
Setting task dependencies
Section titled “Setting task dependencies”Dependencies let you define the order tasks must happen. AECPulse supports two kinds:
- Tasks needed to start this task — other tasks that must be completed before this one can begin
- Tasks to be completed before — tasks that cannot start until this task is done
