Team Members
Team Members is your firm’s staff directory. Every person who works at your firm — whether they have an AECPulse login or not — can be tracked here.
Team member information
Section titled “Team member information”Each team member record includes:
- First and last name
- Title (job title)
- Manager — who they report to
- Email and phone
- Home address — street, city, state and zip, all required
- Start date
- Status — Active or Terminated
- End date — filled in if they’ve been terminated
Finding active and former team members
Section titled “Finding active and former team members”The Team Members list has two buttons across the top: Active and Terminated. The directory opens on Active, so people who have left the firm are kept out of your way — switch to Terminated to find them. Someone counts as active until you give them an end date. Your choice stays put as you page through and sort, and it’s part of the web address, so a link you bookmark or send to someone opens on the same view.
Beside the buttons, the search box finds team members by name, email, phone number, or job title, once you’ve entered at least two letters. You can search a full name, such as “Jane Smith”. Click the × to clear it.
The team member detail tabs
Section titled “The team member detail tabs”Open any team member to see:
| Tab | What’s here |
|---|---|
| Projects | Projects this person is assigned to |
| Timesheet | A weekly view of the hours this person has logged, broken down by project and day |
| Notes | Free-text notes about this team member (requires notes access) |
| Compensation | Salary and pay information (requires compensation access) |
| Roles | Which roles are assigned to this person — use this tab to grant or remove access |
| Files | Files kept with this person’s record, grouped into categories — see Files & Attachments |
The Timesheet tab
Section titled “The Timesheet tab”The Timesheet tab shows how a team member spent their week. Pick any day from the date selector and the grid shows the whole week that contains it, running Sunday through Saturday.
Each project the person logged time against appears as its own row, with a column for each day of the week. The hours come from the time entries logged against tasks. Standalone time — and time on tasks that aren’t attached to an active project — is collected in a single General / Non-project row, shown last, so no logged hours are left out. The grid totals everything for you: a total for each project across the week, a total for each day, and a grand total for the week. Picking a different day jumps to that week.
Roles and access
Section titled “Roles and access”The Roles tab is where you assign access levels to a team member. See Assign roles to a team member.
Adding team members
Section titled “Adding team members”You can add team members one at a time or in bulk. See:
When you add someone for the first time, they automatically receive a welcome email letting them know they’ve been added to your firm, with a link to sign in. Editing an existing team member does not send another email.
