My Dashboard Doesn't Match My Colleague's

Two people at the same firm will almost always see different numbers on the dashboard. That’s intended — three of the four tiles count only your own work. Here’s what each one includes.

Counts tasks assigned to you, in any status that’s still live: Open, To Do, In Progress, or On Hold. Completed and Cancelled tasks drop out.

It is never the firm’s total. A quiet number here doesn’t mean a quiet office.

Due this week — yours, and only what’s coming

Section titled “Due this week — yours, and only what’s coming”

A rolling window covering today and the next seven days, not the current calendar week. It doesn’t reset on a Monday.

It’s drawn from the same set as Open tasks, so it’s yours only, and it counts only tasks that have a due date. Two things it leaves out:

  • Tasks with no due date, however urgent they are.
  • Anything already past due. This tile is what’s coming, not what’s late.

Counts projects you are a team member of, which is why it rarely matches the total on the Projects page.

It includes draft projects as well as ones in progress, so it can be higher than the number of jobs actually running.

This is the one tile that isn’t about you. Everyone at the firm sees the same number, because proposals have no team members to narrow it down to.

It counts proposals that haven’t been won or lost yet, which is broader than it sounds:

  • Drafts nobody has sent
  • Proposals waiting with a client
  • Approved proposals that haven’t been turned into projects yet

If it seems stuck, that last group is usually why — an approved proposal stays in this count until someone converts it.

You only see the sidebar areas your role allows. If a colleague is missing something you have, that’s a permission rather than a missing feature — see I can’t see a feature or button.
